The Beasts of Bourbon played their final show in April 2018, a fundraiser for long-term bassist Brian Hooper. Although Hooper was able to perform with the band at the show, sadly he died six days later. Spurred on by the band's singer, Tex Perkins, the remaining Beasts of Bourbon alumni gathered together in Melbourne's Soundpark
