Song of the day – 286: The ‘B’ Girls
Just an amazing girl group sound.
P.S. I was indirectly reminded of this record, following the video trail at YouTube. Mr Jeremy Gluck was recommending a fine Canadian 80s garage band Johnny And The G-Rays over at Facebook – Mr Jeremy Gluck himself, of course, being the singer with The Barracudas, a surf (then garage) band of most excellent pedigree.
So I checked the G-Rays out, found a performance of a reformed version which I thought was pretty darn alright.
And, out the corner of my eye, noticed footage of another band from the same festival.
… which leads us back to the top again.
I bet’cha even money that Tobi Vail loves this single too.

by Everett True
My name is Everett True. I am a music critic. This is what I do. I criticise music. The clue is in my job description – music critic. I do not consider myself a journalist, as I do not research or report hard news. I do not consider myself a commentator as I believe that everyone should be a participant. I criticise people and in return I am not surprised if other people criticise me. It is part of the whole deal of being in the public arena. I am Everett True. Believe in me and I have power like a God. Quit believing in me and I no longer exist.
