Song of the day – 253: Black Hole (Californian Punk)

I’m going for the obvious one here.

There’s a killer new compilation of original California punk out entitled Black Hole, compiled by Jon Savage – who fucking KNOWS his stuff – and featuring Germs, The Avengers, Crime, The Zeros and Dead Kennedys, among others. I just wanted to draw your attention to it but couldn’t be arsed to start writing some form of sociological overview when all I really wanted to do was get down and pogo, punch a male fist or two in the air and pretend I look good walking around bare-chested. Y’know, the old six-pack action. It all sounds quite old school Brisbane, don’t you think? How will we survive the fucking Eighties?
